Bustingstress with rejuvenating therapies, and improving skin tone with
a facial can help you fight premature aging. By Kelly Read
It seems that every woman and some men too are concerned about premature
ageing and how to defer father time from taking his toll on our bodies.
This has led to the emergence of the anti aging creams,
potions, treatments. The anti ageing beauty industry is huge - and over
the past few years has become bigger and bigger with more and more
extreme methods to stop the ageing process.
Causes of premature aging The biological clock of course is always
ticking, but certain factors speed up the clock – hereditary factors and
the force of gravity – pulling down the skin – which, of course, we
cannot really avoid. But there are also outside factors that affect the
speed of the ageing process – and these include stress (that classic
word that is overused and miss understood), which may include physical
or mental stress. Our lifestyles today encompasses stress from long
working hours, high expectations and the ever ringing mobile or
blackberry – we live in a society whereby we are expected to work and
play hard to succeed - over the last twenty years our lives have changed
hugely – and maybe not for the best.
Diet also speeds up the ageing process – poor diet, lack of nutritious
foods, high fat and high sugar foods, over consumption of foods and
irregular eating patterns also contribute to premature ageing. Alcohol
is also another major factor in the ageing of skin – not only is this
legal drug dehydrating but also lacking in nutrition. Smoking is also
another major factor in the premature ageing of the skin – it dehydrates
the system and causes fine lines around the mouth…. It also has other
health damaging properties too diverse.
Exposure to the damaging rays of the sun, are also another factor in
speeding up the process of ageing the skin and much literature is
available on this and the damaging effects of UV rays – both naturally
and from artificial sources – such as Tanning machines. So why do all of
the above affect the skin this way? Because of free radicals – free
radicals are produced when the body from natural processes produces
toxins, which are not expelled from the body –so they build up the
toxicity of the body and age it at an accelerated rate.
